Everyone loves more of a good thing and TTT has more broken barriers to share! In our last blog entry, we shared three major barriers that Teaching Training Together (TTT) has intentionally worked to break:

But as with any meaningful journey, once some barriers fall, others become clearer.
Think about food for a moment. You’re in front of a menu of delicious, well-prepared dishes, and make your choices. You may need a quick bite to eat because of a time constraint, or you are only hungry for a small portion, or you think ahead to save some of the meal for a later time. This is how we’ve begun to think about learning at TTT. For some educators, access and capacity are barriers to complete a full course, not because the content lacks value, but because life looks different for each learner.
In 2023, TTT launched two online courses. At the time, we didn’t call them FULL courses, but now, we do. Why? Today, we have a new option: DISCOVER courses. Like sitting in front of a menu, educators can now choose what they would like to learn during a given period, one module at a time, at their own pace, based on their appetite for professional growth.
The difference between our FULL courses and DISCOVER courses is simple:

| This option is for educators who say: “I have limited resources for university training and need a comprehensive overview to be an effective school leader and/or teacher.” “I have the time and technology to learn and work toward a Certificate of Completion.” | This option is for educators who say: “I want to grow as a professional, but I have limited time and technology.” “I am interested to learn about one topic that the FULL course offers.” “I will enroll in one module and may want to take another in the course!” |
The FULL course Becoming a More Effective Teacher is alive and well in English, French, and Spanish. And the FULL course Becoming a More Effective School Leader in English, French, and Spanish is ready and waiting for more enrollments. Sincere, genuine applause and standing ovations for all who earn a Certificate of Completion!
In this new year, we recognize the reality: some educators do not have the access or capacity to commit to the FULL course right now and that reality should never disqualify them from professional growth. With the DISCOVER option, a teacher or school leader can enroll in one module… and then maybe another… and maybe another, just like ordering off a menu.
As we’ve said before, our journey has adapted, but our mission has never changed.
We remain deeply committed to removing barriers that prevent teachers and school leaders in underserved communities from accessing high-quality, practical training. We pray that the DISCOVER course option will defy the barriers of access and capacity, so that more school leaders and teachers can receive meaningful professional development.
